Are you ready to see the most beautiful extended family photos ever taken?! I'm convinced this session I did with 3 generations of the Rees family are where it's at! We met at the back of Big Cottonwood Canyon in Utah to capture this large group of amazing people, ranging in age from 3 up into the 60s. We spent the evening with the most beautiful light, among the wildflowers and towering green aspens, and we came away with portraits that will last a lifetime!

It was such a pleasure photographing the Wood's extended family. We had to change locations last minute because the first spot we showed up to was swarming with literally millions of flying insects (after we'd already waited for the rain to pass for almost an hour)! The Woods were troopers and luckily I knew of this great trail that runs along Utah Lake with beautiful views of the mountains in both directions.
We kicked off our first of many nights of fall mini sessions in Eagle Mountain this year, and it couldn't have been better! Eagle Mountain is growing fast, but it is still home to tall, golden crested wheat fields and, especially this year, cheerful yellow sunflowers. With the Utah mountains as our backdrop, we had a perfect, glowy sunset! It had been 2 years since I saw the Stewart family, and it was so fun to see their kids looking so grown up! We enjoyed the warm, autumn evening capturing all the love they have for each other. It was a great way to start our fall mini sessions in one of the prettiest spots in Utah!
Family pictures at Tunnel Springs are some my favorites. Located in North Salt Lake, it is known for its beautiful bright light and rolling hills. In the spring, the grass in a beautiful green, with luscious evening light. In the Fall, the grass is dry and golden. This is a beautiful location year-round.
Loch Lomond Pond is one of my favorite locations. Tucked away in Saratoga Springs, near Utah Lake, it has so many tiny, beautiful niches - a pond, tall grasses, tiny white flowers, sand, tall trees. It gets gorgeous light in both the morning and at the end of the day...and it is a prime spot for photos in both the summer and fall.
The Young Living Farms lavender fields in Mona, Utah are a gorgeous location, with the beautiful Wasatch range to the east, and Mona lake and rolling hills to the west. The lavender blooms in mid-June to July and is so stunning!
