Bree is my cousin, and I was so excited when her mom, my aunt, contacted me about doing a photo session for Claira's first birthday! We took their family portraits in the beautiful blossoms of Utah State Hospital's apple orchard - the perfect setting for this sweet little family. Claira wasn't so sure about me and the camera at first, but by the end she'd warmed up to us!

Satyra and I have known each other for more than a decade now - fate brought us together in the form of random college roommate assignments at BYU in Provo, UT, and I'm so grateful it did. We've had so many shared experiences, she's more like family than a friend - as a matter of fact, we've had people ask if we're sisters, even though she's, like, half a foot taller than me. She's supported me as I gave blood on a mobile bus, participated in TPing, invited me into her parent's home to belly laugh and eat all their good food, and so much more. Now, as moms, we get our kids together to play and talk about all the good and the hard things. I'm so grateful for Ty and her family! They braved a very cold winter day to take family portraits at Silver Lake in Utah's Big Cottonwood Canyon. The kids were troopers, and I can't wait to meet her new little one, due later this month!
Madi and Tony decided to do their bridal session at the Utah State Capitol building in Salt Lake City since we nearly froze to death during their engagement photos up Provo Canyon in December. It was the perfect setting for Madi's elegant, lace-covered wedding gown. The grey and white marble created such a beautiful background for their couple photos. We started off with their first look outside, and Tony's reaction was priceless!
Back in January, Kandice and Jentry took me to explore West Canyon, up in the northwest corner of Eagle Mountain, and we had a blast taking their engagements. Kandice and Jentry met in high school, and their wedding date was 5 years EXACTLY since they got together! How romantic is that?! Jentry proposed to Kandice in Las Vegas on the High Roller, and in her words, "It was absolutely perfect!"
Ryan and Cherisa were sealed in the Manti Utah LDS Temple in April, on the most beautiful spring day. Typical for Utah, the week before there had been rain and snow, so we didn't know how the weather would be for their wedding, but it was perfect! The Manti Temple is special to Cherisa, because several members of her family serve in it. Her great uncle performed the ceremony, and a lot of both of their families traveled to attend.
Madi and Tony's wedding day was wonderful! Tony had so much family travel for the sealing at the Bountiful Temple - they came from South America, Mexico, and California. I loved seeing them all fill up the steps of the temple and congratulate the happy newlyweds! Madi and Tony couldn't stop smiling the entire day, and their happiness was infectious.
