I was so happy things worked out for me to photograph this beautiful little family. I was driving to Big Cottonwood Canyon from Utah County when I received a call from Tasha, who explained their photographer had planned to photograph them that night at Jordan Pines, but had been in a bike accident and wouldn't be able to make it. She had gotten my name and wondered if I could do it. Luckily, I was able to squeeze them in after my mini sessions at Jordan Pines that evening, and I'm so glad I did! They have the 3 sweetest kids - I loved learning all about their little girls and getting baby brother to smile and laugh! It was a beautiful evening, one of the last warm nights we'll probably have this year, and we had a beautiful, glowy sunset!

When Crystal first contacted me about taking photos of her young family of 6 I was blown away to learn she had researched more than 100 photographers before deciding on me! I was seriously flattered, but also - that was a lot of pressure! She had a very specific vision in mind for the setting of her family photos - she wanted golden ground or grass with green trees in the background. After a lot of brainstorming, we came up with Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon. Most of the year, the meadow above the reservoir is green, but by August in a dry year, it's dry and yellow, and with the evergreens in the background, it was exactly what she wanted! It looked so nice with the outfits she picked out - green, blue, pink, and white. I loved getting to see each of her beautiful kiddo's personalities come out and we also snuck in some fun pictures of Crystal with 30 balloons for her 30th birthday later this month - this photoshoot was a gift to herself. Happy birthday, Crystal! I loved meeting you all!
I think we explored every nook and cranny of Silver Lake during these bridals with Bridger and Bethany. I love shooting at this location because it has everything - golden meadow, tall pine trees, rugged mountains, a lake, big boulders, and so much more. I had the best time spending a couple of hours with Bethany and Bridger, walking all the way around the lake and boardwalk and finding the best light and most epic spots for their pre-wedding bridal photos, and I can't wait for their reception this Friday!
Bethany and Bridger are getting married this week, and so I had to share these gorgeous engagements we took at Bountiful Pond! It was the perfect evening, and I love this location because the trees are spaced so perfectly to give that beautiful, slanting, glow-y evening light we all want. Bountiful Pond is one of my favorite places to photograph at, for anything from couples to extended families because there's so much variety with the open grass areas, to the trees, to the pond. It was so fun capturing all the different facets of Bethany and Bridger's relationship - from romantic and sweet to fun, silly, and flirty. They brought a few different outfits and I loved them all. I can't wait for their wedding!
This shoot was the first time I'd been to Rush Valley, and now I'm plotting a way to buy 30 acres here and start my homestead. I honestly loved meeting the Elton family and hearing about their little farm and getting to know their boys. My favorite thing about the session - besides the beautiful scenery, of course - was how Jodi let each of her boys bring something that showed what they were passionate about, from super heroes, to rodeo, to professional wrestling and video games. I loved seeing each of their personalities come out. And I loved that they included some of their animals in their family photo. Even with 4 boys, a horse, and 2 dogs, I couldn't believe how well-behaved everyone was and how quickly we got the most beautiful photos!
