Just this last week, I had the opportunity to take family photos of some good friends, who I have known for a long time now! I love Haley and Andrew and their sweet little children. Our daughters were born just 2 days apart, and our youngest, boys, were born just a day apart! We also bonded when we were all newlyweds living in the same cheap, old apartments down in good, old Provo, and we invited them over one evening and Haley made the most divine, homemade oreo cookies – which, by the way, I just made last week! We had the best time playing in the beautiful blossoms of this gorgeous apple orchard and trying to get the littles to smile.

We met up early one spring morning to take these stunning bridal portraits of Cherisa and Ryan, one day before their wedding. Can I just say how much I love morning sessions? They are seriously some of my favorites. The light is soft and beautiful, it's nice and cool, and we're not racing the light - it just gets brighter and warmer as the session goes on. Plus, it's nice to get photos done early in the day so you can spend the rest of your day doing other things instead of prepping for pictures! We walked all over the International Peace Gardens, which has lots of different sections dedicated to different cultures and parts of the world. It was so green and the perfect backdrop for this sweet first look and bridal session.
I so enjoyed taking a few headshots and photos for Connor in and around Lehi Main Street. He's the president of Utah's free market think tank, Libertas Institute, as well as The Association for Teaching Kids Economics...oh, and author of a series of children's books that teach kids the principles of freedom. We had a great mini session, and I enjoyed learning about all the work he does!
Mckenna is a dear friend and fellow photographer, and I was beyond honored when she asked if I would take maternity photos for her. We drove up to Jordan Pines Campground area in Utah's Big Cottonwood Canyon and had the most magical (albeit cold) glowing mama session! I loved hearing about her hopes and dreams for her little boy. She is already mama to her husband's two beautiful children and this will be their first little boy together! I loved her outfit, especially the gorgeous floral crown, which she made herself!
If I could use one word to describe Tyler and Charlie's wedding at Layton's Chantilly Mansion, it would be PARTY! Their wedding was so elegant and beautiful, but so FUN at the same time! From the sweet little details of Charlene's dress and her grandmother's sixpence, which she carried with her, to the games the DJ played with guests throughout the night, this wedding was planned to a T. I loved that we got to sneak away right after the ceremony for some intimate portraits of the new husband and wife.
I first met Emily back in 2015 when I took photos of her with her 4 beautiful children. Love, love, love when clients stay with you as you grow, and back in September, I was honored to photograph her wedding to Sam, her Prince Charming, at Eagle Mountain’s Garden on the Green.
