We met up early one spring morning to take these stunning bridal portraits of Cherisa and Ryan, one day before their wedding. Can I just say how much I love morning sessions? They are seriously some of my favorites. The light is soft and beautiful, it's nice and cool, and we're not racing the light - it just gets brighter and warmer as the session goes on. Plus, it's nice to get photos done early in the day so you can spend the rest of your day doing other things instead of prepping for pictures! We walked all over the International Peace Gardens, which has lots of different sections dedicated to different cultures and parts of the world. It was so green and the perfect backdrop for this sweet first look and bridal session. Ryan proposed to Cherisa at the entrance to the International Peace Garden during a full-on snowstorm earlier in the year, and so it was fitting to do their bridal session there. We started their first look right near the entrance, as well, and it was so fun seeing Cherisa's excitement and Ryan's perfect reaction! We explored the entirety of the International Peace Garden park, which has so many fun hedges, installations, and landscapes! The Jordan River runs right by the gardens, so we popped over to the walkway to get a few portraits by the water. With all the leaves popping it, it was the perfect spring location for their April wedding! This brick arch is exactly where Ryan proposed to Cherisa, so we had to finish the session here, naturally!
