Laurissa and Nik were married for time and all eternity in the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple in American Fork on one of the coldest days I can remember. Even though it was absolutely freezing, though, they were champions. We ran through the group photos and then this amazing couple braved the below-freezing temperatures to get some bridal photos done. I especially loved Laurissa’s elegant ivory overcoat and powder blue heels! We snapped photos until my fingers wouldn’t move anymore, and then headed to Sleepy Ridge for their reception. Even with the golf course covered in snow, it was a gorgeous venue. My favorite area was the atrium like space where they served Café Rio inspired rice, tacos, and other delicious Mexican food. I loved seeing the photos from our engagement session (link) on all the tables. Laurissa’s bouquet was so beautiful, I couldn’t believe it when she told me the flowers were actually wood! They were beautiful handmade flowers that are actually made from tapioca wood peel and strung together with a needle. She had some beautiful sparkle and glass beads throughout the bouquet that definitely went with her winter wedding. And best of all, she’ll always have her bouquet! The reception was so fun, with toasts and stories from several family members, and they finished up with a classic bubble exit. Laurissa and Nik, I had a blast photographing your special day. I’m so glad I’ve been able to see you since and see what a strong, committed, loving relationship you’re building!
