ELIJIO & ADELITA | WEDDING AT SALT LAKE CATHEDRAL OF THE MADELEINE | BRIDALS AT MEMORY GROVE

Adelita and Elijio helped me fulfill one of my dreams this last month – photographing a wedding at Salt Lake City’s absolutely stunning Cathedral of the Madeleine. The cathedral is a Roman Catholic church that was completed in 1909 and currently serves as the mother church,of the Diocese of Salt Lake City. It has the most beautiful Gothic revival architecture, and it was the perfect place for Adelita and Elijio to be married.

Elijio was working at Sprouts when he first noticed Adelita. He would watch her come in and shop and it took a while before he worked up the courage to talk to her. He finally did and asked her out, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Mass was absolutely beautiful, and the scripture passages that were recited and sung were so powerful. It was wonderful to see the way Adelita and Elijio looked at each other as they were married.

After a quick round of family pictures, we were able to take a few bridals in the cathedral, then headed up to nearby Memory Grove Park for a few more couple photos. It’s a perfect place to do bridals with monuments, fountains, and creekside paths galore.

Adelita and Elijio are such kind individuals that I am sure their marriage will be blessed with many acts of service to each other and those around them. I wish you both the best as you begin this new chapter of your lives! xo, Heather
