Dani and Tyler were married on May 6, 2017 at the Draper Utah LDS Temple, with a reception that evening in Pleasant Grove. Dani's the younger sister of one of my good friends, and so I was honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding day. It was a beautiful, bright, warm afternoon when they exited as husband and wife, and we had a great time capturing memories for them! It was the first time I had met Tyler, but I could see right away what a great fit they were - metaphorically speaking. They are, after all, nearly a foot apart in height haha. Of dating Tyler, Dani said, "I loved how bold he was and found out quickly that he was absolutely hilarious! He also is the most gentleman-like person I have ever met!" Congrats on your wedding, guys! Dani told me how they met: "We were both in an executive lectures series class for our business degrees. We had an assignment that we could either go to a free luncheon or write a paper. We ended up in the same section of the luncheon and both showed up about 30 minutes early. I saw him studying on a couch outside the luncheon room and decided to go sit by him. We hit it off pretty well and by the time we both left, he had asked me out for dinner the next day."
"For the proposal, he planned a trip up to Temple Square for our third 'monthiversary' of dating. He found a little roped off courtyard and tried to get me to go in there with him. I didn't want to break any rules, so I wouldn't go at first. He ended up dragging me over the rope, and said it would just be super quick and he just had something cool he wanted to show me. He told me to look toward the top of the temple, then when I turned around to look at him and ask what I was supposed to be seeing, he was on one knee with a ring box in his hands."
