Alexa & Garrett | Canyon Engagements IN Cedar Fort, UT

Alexa and Garrett and I took an adventure up West Canyon this last month to take their engagements, and I just loved how their pictures turned out! Alexa is a farm girl from Cedar Valley, Utah, and she and Garrett met at school in Arizona, where Alexa is on the rodeo team. They were both such great sports as we drove from location to location and I asked them to lie down or spin around or whisper into each others ears. I can't wait to photograph their wedding next month!

As we took photos, I asked Garrett and Alexa about how they met and the proposal story. Garrett doesn't rodeo, but he was pretty good friends with much of the rodeo team, so he and Alexa hung out a lot and got to know each other. Over a school break, Garrett came up to Utah to visit Alexa's family, and everyone was pretty interested when they found out he had only bought a one-way ticket! After a while, things got pretty serious, and they started to talk about marriage. They are both pretty outdoorsy, so Garrett got the ring and decided he would ask Alexa out while they were fishing, and she said yes!

Alexa comes from a large family of 10 children, and much of her family lives near Cedar Valley, so they plan to have the wedding at a local shooting range and lodge owned by her family, Wasatch Wing & Clay, in August. They are such a sweet, easy couple, and I can't wait to capture their special day!​
